FRIDAY AND SATURDAY ACTIVITIES
Yesterday, first of all I came to the college and learnt about the difference between French and English Braille. It was very interesting as there are many more differences than I Imagined, as well as learning about the differences we learnt about the origins of Braille, how it was developed and become what it is today.
After this we went to a class where the students were learning about healthy eating, they were telling us that they had to keep a food diary for a week and then calculate how many calories they had consumed. This again was very interesting.
Then we left the college and went to do some cooking, we split into groups and made a variety of dishes, Mexican salad, filled peppers, fish balls and coconut rocks. When we had finished cooking we had a taste of our food and I thought it was very nice and I would definitely do it again.
After the cooking we met with the French students and had a look round a building which was built in the 1920’s. The building at that time was very modern, it was built for the workers that were employed in the area.
In the evening we had dinner in a restaurant, I thought the food was very nice, as it has been all the time.
After eating we went back to the college and were taught some circus tricks, this was very funny and interesting. I really enjoyed it!!
This morning we had breakfast in a French café, we had a traditional breakfast and I thought it was very nice!!!
We then had a look around the college during their open day, we had observed some of the activities that they were showing, all of the activities were really interesting. Then I have lunch which was very nice!!!!!
