NOUVELLE ENVIE DE COMMUNICATION! / NEW THING!

  Cette année, nous avons décidé de créer un groupe facebook! Cela permettra de "se parler" plus facilement, et de favoriser notre échange. Il sera alimenté par nous, les élèves français de la section européenne et les élèves anglais. Ce sera sûrement plus communicatif. DAY 6 - THE DAY THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN !

    Yesterday was a nightmare. It was not my favourite day because of the cancellations, but we managed to find an alternative way to get home. We were able to find an alternative. The hotel we stayed in was cool. The beds were really comfy. It is sad to leave France as I don’t really want to leave. I would like to stay a bit longer or come again at some point. DAY 5 - WE WISH WE COULD STAY

  I want to carry on learning French next year so that I can talk to more people in French. Learning a language is a key that unlocks so many doors. I enjoyed the food, I loved the way they eat – the only regret I have is that is that I didn’t eat more! Joshua Burns   The primary school was really good fun as I love working with children. REPAS LYONNAIS A LA CITE SCOLAIRE

  Cité Scolaire René Pellet prepared a typical lyonnais meal     Our friends from RNC discovered Lyonnaise food in the APR restaurant. Thursday, we went to the APR to taste food from Lyon. All of us were eating together. We still ate Lyonnaise salad, (Gratin de cardon) with chestnuts. We also tasted hot sausage. We had a special cheese called (cervelle des canuts) to finish, we had praline tarte. It was a wonderful exchange, hope we'll start again! DAY 4 - SURPRISED BY SNAILS

      I loved the snails!!! I didn’t know what to expect because I had heard good and bad stuff about them but I wanted to try them and I’m glad I did. I’ll definitely try them again. I really love the way the French eat and what they eat for the different meals, like chocolate for breakfast. I really hope I can come again next year. DECOUVERTE DE LA GASTRONOMIE LYONNAISE DANS UN LYCEE HOTELIER

IT'S TIME TO DISCOVER GASTRONOMY FROM LYON !   Le mercredi 26 mars 2014, nous sommes tous allés dans le restaurant du lycée hôtelier Jehanne de France, situé dans le 9ème arrondissement de Lyon (quartier de Vaise). DAY 3 - BUZZING AROUND LYON

    The shopping was really good as it allowed me to discover different French food that you can buy in the shop. EXPOSE SUR LA CUISINE LYONNAISE

    Le mardi 25 mars, nous sommes allés au CDI pour en savoir un peu plus sur la cuisine lyonnaise. La documentaliste nous a présenté ce qu'était la cuisine lyonnaise, ses délices mais aussi ses spécialités. La cuisine lyonnaise concerne la région mais aussi le Beaujolais, où les vignobles permettent la fabrication du vin de beaujolais. Nous avons appris qu'autrefois la ville de Lyon était appelée Lugdunum. La cuisine lyonnaise répond à une tradition. Autrefois, c'était les femmes qui préparaient les repas traditionnels.... DAY 2 - A FAMILY FEAST

    I enjoyed going out today and enjoyed the food again. I definitely enjoyed the family meal as I enjoyed seeing how the French live. They had a nice house and they don’t always have what they prepared us. Sometimes they don’t have a starter. What surprised me was that we were allowed to call them by their first name.
